Learning Tour of JVL Fortifer Compost Plant by Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAS)

 

  • About 35 delegates from seventeen (17) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) visited the JVL Fortifer Compost Plant at Borteyman on Thursday, the 26th of July, 2018. The learning tour was part of an on-going Sanitation Challenge for Ghana (SC4Gh) Learning and Practice Convening (LPC) workshop organized by the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR) and the IMC Worldwid
  • The SC4Gh learning workshop seeks to identify and cultivate innovations for the advancement of practices and implementation of liquid waste management(LWM) value chain results captured in the strategies of the 17 MMDAs . Hence, the need to visit some liquid waste treatment facilities in Accra and Tema.
  • Amongst the visiting delegation were Mr. Asubonteng of IRC Ghana, Hajia Amina Seidu of Savelugu Municipal Assembly and Mr. Mohammed Habib of Association of MMDCD. The team was well received by The M.D of Jekora Ventures Limited, Ing. Immanuel Nartey-Tokoli, who took the opportunity to expand on all the activities of the company.
