JEKORA VENTURES CLEARS REFUSE AT ADENTA SSNIT FLATS … AS IT DEMONSTRATES ITS CORPORATE VALUES

Waste Management Company, Jekora Ventures has cleared piled up refuse at the Adenta SSNIT Flats in the Adenta Municipality in the Greater Accra Region following news report of the company’s inability to address the sanitation menace and that it is sleeping on the job.

The company in this regard have debunked media reports and explained that collection of refuse at its demarcated zones in the metropolis have always been duly carried out by its committed employees and it was as a result of challenges in the waste management sector.

According to the Managing Director of Jekora Ventures, Mr. Immanuel Nartey-Tokoli, the company have demonstrated commitment in the collection of waste as well as the dumping of refuse to the disposal sites, adding that, the sites are quiet far away from the collection points and the long hours it takes tractors in disposing off the waste.

The Managing Director said the levies paid by client are inadequate and urged government to review the current levies by engaging players in the waste management value claim on modalities of payment and assured however that the company will continue to deliver effective and efficient waste collection services and again appealed to government to have periodic engagement with the respective waste collection companies to discuss and deliberate on emerging issues confronting the waste management sector.
