JVL Participates in the 4th Ghana Renewable Energy Fair

Jekora Ventures Limited (JVL), the waste management professionals is participating in the ongoing 4th Ghana Renewable Energy Fair (RE Fair) at the Accra International Conference Center. The fair is under the theme “Renewable Energy: Exploiting Energy Resources at The District Level” and organized by the Energy Commission and the Ministry of Energy. The fair seeks to explore the role of the renewable energy sector in powering development at the district level. Highlights of the fair are;

  • Regulations aimed at making the wood fuel industry truly renewable and sustainable.
  • The role of the private sector in providing rural communities with electricity through the deployment of renewable energy based mini grids
  • Job creation potential in the renewable energy sub sector
  • Providing insights into energy solutions in buildings to the public

JVL is at the fore front of promoting circular economy through green business and green products. These products include Fortifer (Compost) JVLComp Soil (Compost) and Briquette (alternative to wood fuel).  All these products are made from segregated organic waste which otherwise would have polluted the environment. By recycling these products, we are improving soil quality, food production, food security, sanitation, GHG mitigation, cleaner cooking and climate change intervention. The solutions we are providing to current waste management challenges are simple, efficient, scalable and adoptable at the district levels and can be adopted for the “Planting for Food and Job” as well as the “One District One Factory(1D1F)” project.
